This painting was born out of an unexpected spark — a bold, unplanned stroke of spray paint in my studio. I let intuition take over, and before I knew it, the shape of a goose’s neck emerged, surrounded by vibrant blooms. The goose, with its quiet strength, became a symbol of grace, beauty, and the power of community.

Living in Scottsdale, I often see geese gliding across the lakes near my home, their flight patterns so in sync with one another. Watching them fly in formation, I’m reminded of how important it is to have a tribe — a group of people who lift you up, who help you fly farther than you could on your own. This painting reflects the connection between nature and the deeper symbolism of teamwork and support.

With "The Goose," I wanted to capture not just the physical beauty of this majestic bird but also the lesson they offer: when we fly together, we reach greater heights.
