We are children of the moon playing among the stars, alphabeting the ether.
As a child, I was always fascinated with the moon. Often, I wanted to be transported there as an escape from my suffering. I realize now how short-sighted my perspective was in thinking the farthest place in the universe was the moon! This knowledge brings me not sadness, but solace and allows me to see past the surface. What once felt narrow, and dark feels boundless. The moon is an instrument of beyondness, a steppingstone into the vast and awesome universe.
